I’m Alexa — wife to Jean Paul, mama to Jayden and Eden, and the heart behind Ti Chic.
I grew up in Bergen County, but a huge part of my story was shaped in Haiti, where I founded a nonprofit and spent over eight years serving as a missionary. Haiti is also where I met my husband, Jean Paul, and where so much of my perspective on life, motherhood, and intentional living began to shift.
Living in Haiti taught me something I’ve carried with me ever since: we truly don’t need overflowing closets to feel good, look good, or live well. Life felt slower, simpler, and more connected — and those values have stayed with me through every season since.
When we moved back to New Jersey in 2019 while I was pregnant with our son, life suddenly felt full in every possible way. I was becoming a first-time mom while adjusting back to life in the States, and shortly after, the world shifted with COVID. Like so many moms, I found myself overwhelmed by fast fashion, endless shopping options, overflowing closets, and the constant pressure to buy more.
At the same time, motherhood changed the way I looked at what I was bringing into our home. I wanted cute, timeless pieces for my kids, but I also cared about quality, comfort, and learning more about better fibers and materials for their little growing bodies.
That’s why I created Ti Chic.
“Ti Chic,” which means “little chic one” in Haitian Creole, is a small nod to the country that shaped so much of my heart and perspective. Ti Chic is a thoughtfully curated preloved children’s shop designed to help moms shop more intentionally — without spending hours digging through racks or feeling pressured to constantly keep up.
Every piece is carefully chosen with style, quality, and real-life motherhood in mind — all at an affordable price point. And because I know how quickly kids outgrow everything, Ti Chic also offers an easy, full-service selling experience for moms who want to simplify the process and reclaim some value from the clothes their littles have loved.
But beyond the clothing, my hope is that Ti Chic becomes a space where moms feel seen, encouraged, and supported. A place that makes life feel a little simpler, a little lighter, and a little more fun again.

- Around here, we’re embracing the beautiful mess of motherhood: toys everywhere, laundry always going, and grace over perfection every single time.
- I love a good capsule wardrobe moment — for both moms and littles
- I’ll always choose quality over quantity — in closets, homes, and life in general.
- I absolutely love a good planner. There’s just something so satisfying about handwriting a to-do list and checking things off… and yes, I’ve definitely written down tasks I already completed just for the joy of crossing them out.
